Senior Content Writer - plain-language guides (Jackson, MS)

Bluepeak Quill Arts Center is an arts centre in Jackson with a full calendar of events, and we need a Senior Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer programmes. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
