Silverline Umber Civic Services works with county and city offices around Hartford, and we need a Senior Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about constituent requests. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
