Senior Content Writer - plain-language guides (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Ivory Civic Services Group and adding a Senior Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 155 people based in Austin. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about public records. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
