Senior Content Writer - newsletters (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Fern Transit Planning and adding a Senior Content Writer whose main responsibility will be newsletters. You would join a small organisation of about 199 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about fare systems. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
