Senior Content Writer - newsletters (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Pike Community Partners is a Chicago charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Senior Content Writer to lead our newsletters. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer shifts. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
