Harborlight Ember Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Chicago, and we need a Senior Content Writer to lead our newsletters. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about rent assistance. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with rent assistance. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
