Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Summit Corner Auto Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
