Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Greenridge Umber Foods Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for production batches, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer specifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
