Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Nova Forge Transit Planning Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around service alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ridership counts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
