Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Tucson, AZ)

Rivermark Corner Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Tucson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to catastrophe response, and clear open items. • Track costs around premium billing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
