Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Ashton Arts Center and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around ticketing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
