Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Spokane, WA)

Redstone Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Spokane working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service alerts, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
