Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Seattle, WA)

Stonegate Oak Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Seattle. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
