Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Savannah, GA)

Lumen Nest Water Authority is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to capital projects, and clear open items. • Track costs around treatment plant data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
