Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Antonio, TX)

Bluepeak Cedar Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around San Antonio, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to public records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
