Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Sacramento, CA)

Bluepeak Drift Civic Services Group provides shared administrative services to local governments around Sacramento, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around case files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with budget submissions. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
