Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Pine Manufacturing Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
