Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Juniper Arts Center and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 738 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with exhibitions. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
