Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Rochester, NY)

Harborlight Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Rochester with crews on day and night shifts, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
