Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Rochester, NY)

Lumen Keystone Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
