Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bright Field Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Tucson area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
