Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Amberfield Corner Insurance is an insurance company in Spokane with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to underwriting files, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
