Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bright Yarrow Inspection Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for equipment calibration, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
