Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Westbrook Hollow Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Albuquerque with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
