Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bluepeak Wren Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
