Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Amberfield Pike Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Kansas City, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
