Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Cedar Timber Insurance is an insurance company in Fort Worth with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 651 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to catastrophe response, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
