Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Juniper Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Austin, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
