Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Union Inspection Services is an inspection company in Fort Worth with field technicians and lab staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
