Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Greenridge Hollow Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Pittsburgh. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around dock schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
