Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Ivory Legal Group is a law firm in Austin serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 104 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
