Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Cedar Junction Insurance Group is an insurance company in Raleigh with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to claims, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
