Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Ironwood Union Banking Services is a regional lender in Milwaukee with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to deposit accounts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
