Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Northwind West Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around route schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
