Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Linden Banking Services Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 543 people based in Providence. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with loan files. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
