Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Orchard Transit Planning and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service alerts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
