Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Pittsburgh, PA)

Greenridge Birch Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Pittsburgh area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 118 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
