Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Philadelphia, PA)

Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Philadelphia. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
