Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Omaha, NE)

Stonegate Birch Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
