Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Omaha, NE)

Lumen North Construction is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to permits, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
