Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (New Orleans, LA)

Silverline Junction Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for scrap and rework, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
