Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Nashville, TN)

Northwind Orchard Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Nashville, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
