Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Minneapolis, MN)

Fernwood Glen Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Minneapolis region, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with grower contracts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
