Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Memphis, TN)

Cedar Bridge Energy is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter readings, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
