Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Knoxville, TN)

Bluepeak Nest Housing Group provides affordable homes and support services around Knoxville, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident services, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around maintenance stores against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with resident services. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
