Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jackson, MS)

Ironwood Linden Legal Group is a law firm in Jackson serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around client files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with trust accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
