Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jackson, MS)

Ironwood Stone Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Jackson area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing accounts.
