Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Jackson, MS)

Clearpath Iron Early Learning Group is an early-learning provider in Jackson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around meal programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tuition and subsidies, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
