Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Indianapolis, IN)

Rivermark Linden Energy is an energy provider in Indianapolis focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
