Senior Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Grand Rapids, MI)

Silverline Sparrow Banking Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
